This is pathetic. Everyone here is an adolescent that got a bunch of brand name crap for christmas to look like Tanner Hall. All you care about is looks and image. You quibble about the dumbest things. This sucks damnit. I don't want to be associated with skiers anymore, I wish it was like it used to be 12 yrs ago. Now when people think skiing they immediately think of 15 yr old suburban punks skiing around acting like they are black with their gold chains. I'm not ever posting anything in this forum again, in a month I go to Chile to study abroad and ski, maybe that will get the nasty taste of this site out of my mouth. You are all pathetic and weak and bad human beings.

i have...i went out to whistler one year and the black skier federation or whatever was there, it was sorta wierd cause over half of the people there were black.

15 year olds that get all brand new name brand stuff will always be there because their parents will continue to buy them this stuff. and if it makes them feel better about themselves, great. i'll still be rockin my no name coats, and my own shirts.

ski because you love it, don't get pissed because kids have parents that buy them everything. ski for the adventure, the views, the fun of the sport. if this forum causes you to go elsewhere, than you have a serious problem, since half the posts are made from people that probably don't ski and most of the rest are made in jest.

I am also 15 and i use old old twin tips, off brand pants, and my brothers hand me down jacket.

The funny thing is that my jacket is covered with bloodstains from when my brother cut his face open on ice. I think it makes me look tough.

I'm 15, i have about 3 year old salomon snoblades (which are now to small), i just got a new pair of $20 Scott goggles, cuz i broke my last pair on a nose dive coming over a jump (damn, that hurt!!!), and i got a new pair of glove, i think they're Scott also...At the moment i don't even know where my jacket is...i also have no clue what brand it is.....shit, i love it when ass fucking dicks like the creator of this thread get all their bitching shoved up their ass!!! oh yeah, the main reason i know of that people use brand name shit, is cuz its way better quality!!!! I've never seen or heard of people skiing with gold chains. The tipical newschooler stereotype is not that. It is some 15 year old kid with his pants halfway down his ass with Oakley gogles and a snowboard helmet. This is kinda like me except I'm 13 and I got a skiracing helmet (which looks gay but it works).

i would just like to ask, if you don't get brandname ski equipment, what do you get? there isnt exactly storebrand ski equipment. oakly doesnt produce goggles with S&W sports logos on em, like ASPRIN does with market basket.

p.s.- i'm 16, don't wear jewelry, i'm white, and the only ski gear i got for christmas was a new helmet.

My life is what it is. To me nothing could be better. It is the ideals that I disagree with, not the physical entities. I am anti-capatalist, probably because all my life I've been on the shit end of the stick but mainly because I despise nothing more in the word than the elitist. All of my ski equipment is as you mentioned, brand new or in some cases a year to come. Only because it's what is given to me. But if it wasnt, I wouldn't be skiing anymore period because in this sport there isn't a cheaper alternative.

In my off hill life, I wear rocca, I wear johnny blaze, I wear mecca, I have diamond earrings, I wear necklaces with pendants thats me. I like my style. So who are you or anyone else to judge me for that? Judge me because I'm an asshole, judge me because I'm friendly, judge me for my actions and not for my appearance. But then again, thats the american way isn't it.
