Replying to Economic Instability? are you kidding me?
So the Democrats have been going on about how the Economy is shitty right now..
Don't believe every negative thing the Democrats and the media are trying to tell you. Our economy is doing just fine. Here are just a few examples of recent economic progress:
• Gasoline is cheaper than it was before Hurricane Katrina slammed into New Orleans. Consumer confidence jumped last month and new home sales hit a record. The stock market has been rising. Even the nation's beleaguered factories appear to be headed for a happy holiday season.
• Oil prices briefly slipped to their lowest level in 5 ½ months
• Annual growth in the third quarter exceeded previous government expectations at a rate of 4.3%
• While GM and Merck have announced upcoming job layoffs, the economy is still creating jobs, having averaged about 200,000 new jobs a month for the first seven months of 2005
• Ken Mayland, president of ClearView Economics ,stated: "The fact that we added a 10th quarter of above-average growth amidst the hurricane devastation and the highest energy prices ever recorded is awesome."
Bottom line, Democrats have no room to talk about economic instability under the Bush Administration. We will most likely continue to hear a repetition of attacks concerning the Iraqi war, which have proven ineffective and fail to assist our armed forces in their progress.
