Anyone know of any local comps at Dagmar, Lakeridge, Kirby, etc... because if there isnt any we should get on the ball and get one in the works...whether its a big air, Rail jam, or slopestyle...even a pipe comp at Lakeridge...
there was a comp at the end of the year at kirby last season... it was alright, except i sat on the sidelines "not registered in time" and a penciled 7 won it... the rail jam that followed was on a crazy small flatbar, but it was fun to watch. the prizes were sick, free seasons pass i think? it was well organized, but a skier designed/ run comp would be illin, ill help out for sure...
danny and i were talkin about that a while ago... i must have missed the switch, my bad, all i saw was a 7, and assumed it was the winning one... duely noted
to point1. the rail jam was for any rails you just had to notify a judge of when you were dropping in to hit one.
to point2. it was organized well compared to the previous one at lakeridge, how ever after i threw a 5 saftey first run i asked the judges if it was a combined score or best score contest, and i got a "were not sure we have to see how it goes"
that pissed me off b/c i didnt no to attempt something huge (thinking its a best score cuz i could fall back on my 5) or just throw something i new i could land (thinking its a combined score and didnt want to bail) so i played it safe and just threw a 180, but it pissed me off. Still well organized tho dont get me wrong.
i may make a habbit of these wedsday nights at blue......but hopefully there is some comps at mslm so i dont have to drive awhile......but still, stoked for wedsday nights
