Ipod problem, help

i recently reimaged my laptop and got a new hard drive. i now have all updated mac programs and software.

but because of this process i do not have the software for my 15gb ipod. my ipod will show up in itunes but would take about a week to update all of my songs (1700). so i went to apple.com and downloaded the appropriate software for the ipod.

my question now is, my ipod won't update any songs, and it is having problems ejecting from my computer (device removal)has anyone encountered this problem before? and what are your thoughts to fix this?

try to reset your ipod. Connect it to your computer and find the little contolly where you can update the ipod softwear and there should be a button that says reset. your ipod will be erased but it might work better
