I ride about half and half park and just messing around on the mountain. I was wondering if anyone knows which of the two between the salomon promodel guns and xwave 10 free would be better... I can get a prodeal on them from my work so the price doesn't matter much between the two. Almost all of the riding I do is groomed cause I live in new england.
They're pretty similar boots. You need to just go try them on and see which ones fit your feet better. The Pro Models are going to be a little narrower than the X-Wave 10's. The X-Wave's are going to be a little stiffer. Just depends on what fits your foot best.
I ride pretty much the same as you, and I got Xwave 10s. If their too stiff, it's easy to take out a bolt and cut a V in the back of them. Mine are definetly the most comfortable and versatile boots ive ever owned.
The gun's are slightly flexier and can be made to have more flex too. They also have a padded sole to cushion harder landings but technically are slightly narrower. Saying that I have massively wide feet and mine fit like a glove after a couple of times skiing them.
Yea the cushion shock thingy in the gun is drawing me to those so I think I'm gonna go try 'em on and probably order 'em this weekend, thanks for the input!
