What are the best new park boots?

I'm an ex-racer and i'm getting out of a race-fit (three sizes too small) pair of Nordica Dobermanns with a flex index of 150. I dont want completely floppy boots but i also want something thats gonna be more comfortable and warmer than my dobermanns. I'm 6'1, 150lbs (but i squat 300lbs so i'm not just a skinny shit)
I'm kinda new on the progressive/park scene so any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
-Andrew

Salomon Pro Gun's would probably be good for you. They're similar to race boots in fit but are slightly flexier and have shock absorbtion in the sole. I just got a pair and they're really nice.

firstly, you don't need to explain why you're thin.... cause nobody cares, and the people that do aren't worth worrying about. secondly, the 1080 foils are sooooooo sick. great feal, maybe a little softer, but they feel amazing. or maybe you should get the X7.. little stiffer.

Yeah, i tried on the 1080 foils last weekend and they seemed kinda soft and they were really wide too. Does anyone know if the extra width really affects performance? I kinda like it because its more comfortable but it doesnt seem like it'd be that good for performance. I've also heard good things about the nordica beast. Anyone have them?
-I was giving my height/weight so people could help me find a good "park" flex because i'm new to this and i know they shouldnt be as stiff as race boots. I'll probably be doing more rails/slides/urban stuff than anything else so is it good or bad to have a boot with a flex index around 80?
Any help is much appreciated.

The only Salomon this guy will come close to liking is the Pro Custom SC. It's the course shell in a softer flex, the rest of the salomons are way too big unless you don't want any heel hold. You're used to gnarly heel hold and you can't totally give it up. If you're wide in the forefoot go with the Head Mojo, other wise the Pro SC or the Lange 120 Freeride are the way to go. The new Krypton Rampage isn't bad either but you might need to downsize a little to get good heel hold. If you have a deal with Nordica check out the Speedmachine 10.

the salmon gun is the same last as the x waves. its a narrower fit then the 1080. i would bet that since you probably ski pretty hard the 1080 will be too soft for you. the beast is even wider then the 1080. width does affect performance if it is too wide for your foot. check out the nordica speedmachine 10. its a narrower last then the beast. your dobermanns were only cold because you were cutting off your blood flow, and also cause the liner was so thin.
just go to a boot fitter

Tecnica boots are really good... they are well made with good features and and fit really well... i had salomons and they reminded me of plastic toys, they were just cheap in every way

if you're leaving a Doberman race 3 sizes down, I would stay away from any Salomon. They fit amazing, super comfortable, but fucking wide. Try some Lange Comp 100 or 120 in the medium or even low fit, I'm sure u'll find them a better fit. But honestly, just go into a shop and get fitted, no one here can tell u what boot to get, cauz chances are, you don't have nearly the same kinda foot shape.

Tecnica Burn, or Flame are nice boots this year. The Burn is freeride specific.
