I figured enough that the surgeon is probably local to SLC, but there's quite a few foot and ankle specialists here. Rather than try the "let them cut you open and see if they do a good job" approach, I'm trying to find someone good from the start.
serch it on google, but honestly as long as u go to a good hospital with good doctors im almost 100% sure you'll be fine, plus its not like the doctor that did tanners ankle make your ankles any better, if u go to the same doctor he isnt going to make u a better skier than u already r because he did tanners ankle, so i would just go to a good hospital and talk to the doctor there that specalizes in ankles and youll have some ankle just as good as tanners.....
and the fact that 2 docs said that they'd rather not do the surgery certainly creates the desire to find the best one, not necessarily that the best is who worked on tanner is the best, bet perhaps they won't turn down the surgery at least.
Hell, id wanna know what doctor he trusted to work on his ankle, cuz you know it was a damn good doctor, id want the same one too if i messed up my leg or ankle... he'd probly be pricey though
i found out that the doctors name was, Dr. David but i have no idea what hospital it was at, or clinic...hope that helps some, if i find anything else out ill tell u....good luck
as I said earlier (with too many "the best"'s)
