AR5's will. I use em and they do well. I was making the same decision as you two weeks ago, and I can say I am really happy I chose tyhe AR5's. I've skiied Salomon before this, but like the ar5's a lot more. And, yes, you can definitely perform with these out of park. They might take a litle more effort to turn 'em and get thru all mountain, but they are great in park and riding switch. Depends on weight too.
look at it, foils are made out of tons of foam, which breaks down faster than armadas wood, and armada makes thicker bases and edges. They will hold up better, be more livley, and make you happier. Its not that the foils are bad, the ar5 is just better.
Do you have both or ride both? Cause if not, where do you get this info from dude? And what do you mean by performing, they are different types of skis, so there isn't just a better ski buddy.
Here's my deal ohioskiier. I ride AR5's. I used to ride the 1080's, last years. Now, I know they are different and the foils are better, but the AR5's are the best ski I've had. They are very sturdy, VERY. They can definitely rip it outside the park, especially if you are doing east coast stuff. I am about 60% parl and 40% out and I have zero problem. THEY WILL PERFORM BETTER IN PARK. Better on rails, riding switch, and all that stuff. The foils might carve a little better outside park, but they aren't as good in park. Plus, it's not like we have huge powder days. If you are a good skier, the AR5's will more than sevre the purpose outside of park. I love them in and out of park. They arem't sloppy to freeride in. Also, the AR5's will alast longer and are stiffer. The foils will fall apart under you. My 1080's loosened up way too much when I skiied them cause of the foam core. I know this form experience. So, from my experience and your usage, AR5, no question.
Ar5's are in no way sloppy. They are actually a little to stiff for my liking. You must not talk about something unless you have tried it, and I know you havent b cuz the Ar5 is not sloppy.
Well Im 155, and i have only skied on full out park skis so far. So im used to more of a buttery ski, but they are stiffer then anything i have been on.
