why would you buy those to have the bindings over the signature? i know most people wouldnt ride them, bbut its dumb to waste 100 dollars to just hang them up. but their still sick.
here is my question: why is something more valuable because a person put their name on it? Now the Declaration of Independence and official documents, I see their value. But, some random kid from Montana who was able to ski more than anyone - and is very talented at a sport less than 0.5% of the population participates in - signs a pair of skis and they are worth more? How's that? Think about it. Now if Michael Jordan signed only 5 basketballs in his life, I could see those selling for more. I guess I fail to understanding memorabilia
Well you gotta look at it this way. The majority of kids that ski, at least come from a little money (except for broke college students). I mean a lot of younger kids would love to show those off to their friends. Because tanner hall won all of those comps, and is considered by many to be the forerunner in the newschool skiing scene. Ii guess it's more of a show piece to some.
I totally agree that buying those is pretty bogus. I mean they have no memorial value. Now if I met tanner and and he signed my skis for me, that would be something special, but you're buying them off ebay. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
Someone should pick these up.... just throw some clear tape over the sig. Oh and while I'm at it... anyone wanna buy a T-hall signed hat or a poster signed by him or a freeskier signed by him, cr, and rainville?
I had the old ar5 that were signed by him used in the x games, sold em for 550 cause I needed a pair on snow, I wish I could have kept those.
PM me if you still have those - to a member that owns em here.
your kind of right, but mostly wrong. If Michael Jordan signed thousands of basketballs, they'd still be worth $29.99. So therefore, if Tanner signs some skis, they're going to be worth alittle more, but not $400.
