I'm sorry but I can't really help you. All the Spatulas in existence have been sold off. I only have two pair of Spatulas left for myself and I can't part with them. They're kind of like my babies. The only thing I can think of is to try posting a message on the TGR forum:

There are a lot of Spatula using skiers on this forum. Maybe you can find one from someone there. That really sucks that they broke so quickly. This is rare for Spatulas.

If you don't have any luck I would suggest just acquiring a pair of the new K2 Pontoons which will be available sometime around January I think. After skiing on the Spatula for 3 years we have improved upon this concept quite considerably with the Pontoon. I bet K2 has a better warranty policy too. Not that you will need it.

I'm glad to see Shane cares, even if he can't hook me up, but that was a long shot. My plan is to ski my spats till they snap in half, hopefully I'll make it to January. I have no doubt the pontoons will kill it. And that name is almost as cool as spatulas.

word is that is it a tapered ski.

Something like 125/120/110. But I've heard lots of stuff.

Project Vulcan also picks up a new name....

I love the name, unfortunately I don't think they'll sell for any where near as cheap as the spats, people have caught on. I imagine they'll be significantly lighter than the spats. In the mean time i'm thinking about welding a piece of metal over the crack (in the crease of the tail) to reinforce my spats.

and come on....if your gonna be spending that much $$$ on a ski you may as well get the G-Funkenstein. That floats better than any ski currently made (I'm sure it will change, though).

^You've skied both so you can comment on this better than I can. But the thing about the spats, and i'm sure the pontoons is that they make you ski way better, at least for me. I feel invincible on my spats, like I can make any turn at any time, and I think that has to be attributed to the shape not just the float. I ski mostly trees, rather than wide open bowls so having a ski that manuevers like the spats is a huge plus.

Tapered skis have got to be so dreamy.

I wonder if it would feel like the nose would be hooking all the time or if it would just be really free and have zero hook at all. The phsyics of it make me want them bad.
