Ok, lets look at a few things here first.
1) Do not compare the Canadian conservatives to the Republicans.
2) Quit thinking that only Liberal thinking is forward thinking. That right there in itself it terribly hypocritical. Isn't one of the main basis of Liberalism to be more open about other ideas?
3) Yeti- didnt you just move to Calgary/Alberta? Get ready for a suprise. Also happens to be the richest part of Canada. Oh but money doesnt matter right? True enough, its good to look out for the rest of the world, but in a recent survey it was shown that Albertans are on the top of the list for personal donations. You got to help your self before you help others.
4) Lagwagon, your thinking is so unbelievably forward that argueing with you is basically impossible because you are too forward for, well most, thus causing a somewhat backward effect. Its almost like when real hot water almost feels cold. What degree do you have again? If I remember right, you don't even live in Canada and thus, have no idea what is going on here. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Now that being said, I'm going with Veteran. Vote anything but Liberal. I really just want to see change. Obviously, if you haven't figured it out yet, I would prefer Conservative. It absolutely astounds me that people can sit there and in all honesty say that the Liberals have done a good job. While they may not have done a completely horrible one, it is far from good. What part of the situation where they literally stole money to you is good? I for one, fail to see that.
Furthermore, somewhere up there it was mentioned that Canada should remain "forward" thinking like Europe. While I can agree with at least some of that, anything to do with economy and modelling after Europe is a bad idea. Germany, for one, is ever so slowly going down the shitter. Socialism, while sounding really good, and as most of you should know, only works on paper. People get lazy. Beautifully exemplified in the aforementioned country.
I did say though that any vote for any one is better than a Liberal vote, and it might sound hypocritical after reading my previous statement, when I still say that an NDP vote is better. The thing Canada really needs is change. It doesn't really matter what government it is, but after 13 years it is usually time, especially in this case. Thus, as said above you could go for NDP or Green or Marijuana and go super social. If you like that, thats good too, but if you want a country that can keep itself economically fit, then it appears as if you have to vote for the "Devil" himself Harper.
However, this whole rant is most likely for nothing because Ontario has decided what to vote for, well 13 yrs ago. Hmm, hasn't it as of late been labelled as a "Have not" province.
