I don't think there's a single definition, it's a pretty broad term. I just refer to something as a jib when it involves hitting your skis against something other than snow.
well i guess it means liek stalling or grinding stuff. basically doing stuff on skis that you wouldnt traditionally do on skis like rails and other such parafanalia
if u mean the "actual" term not the one used in skiing, i believe it means to sell something, or to sell urself, like u jib clothing if u work at a department store.... so when ur jibbing ur trying to get hooked up and i think it got adpoted as sliding or grinding maybe im wrong..
For insiders the word jib translates into riding on anything other than snow—rails, stairs, trees, etc. This activity, although common among freestyle skiers and snowboarders in the great outdoors, is truly a unique spectacle in this setting.
