last wednesday at killington, i was noticing that pretty much everyone had twin tips. the fat 10 year olds, the old guys with beards. the people who would never turn around and carve down the mountain. it seems as if our sport has lost its meaning. it's no longer 'wow look at that guy, he's really cool with his twin tips,' it's now 'yeah what a poser,' or something along those lines. before we were different, doing our thing, but now everyone is doing it, it doesn't feel that special to be a freeskier.
i know it's good because our sport is growing, but i don't think it's growing the right way.
i know this all sounds lame, but seriously tell me what you think about it. have you seen this or is it only me?
