Don't wind up very much when you go into the jump. Just pop as hard as you can and set your rotation, while looking over your shoulder. If you land backseat doing that, you did something wrong.
i know that i was asking what i did wrong. I also was wondering if on your guys 5s if you set for a 3 spot the landing at 3 and then pull the extra 180 around or if you look over ur shoulder for the landing till you get to 540
had the exact same problem you did when i learned my good spins last year. you lean back right as you go off the jump, you feel safer that way. backwards is natural, forwards is not. but if you dont want to land in the backseat and lose your skis, throw yourself forwards. it scared the ba-jebus out of me, thought i was gonna do some wierd front flip spin thing. but in reality, it takes alooot of force to get you inverted forwards. so throwing yourself forward balances out the steepness of your jump, i assume your jump angles up....try putting your weight forward, and youll be pleasanly surprised on how even you come up when you land.
had the same problem, it had to do with how i was throwing my arms when i popped off the lip, i somehow always managed to throw them to the right and down, and cork myself the fuck out. like u AK, i couldnt land 7s cause of it. anyway, for 5s, i just spin that 1st 3, and spot while keeping my head turned, and rotate the final 180
you're too scared. it's natural to fall backseat when you get in the air, but you're just going to have to conquer that. make sure you can nail the straight airs first.
