Hey im looking for a good all around twin. Im looking for a good ski that can actually carve.I ski a bunch of park and pip but alot of powder as well. If u could help me out it would be great thanks
karmas are only ok in the park and shit on ice, but great everywhre else, there allmtn because there fat and stiff tahts all, the ppl who test them are spoiled bitches who only ski pow, so when they see a ski below 85 they rate it as a bad all mtn ski,, this is my point of view on the whole thing
Actually, I know a few people who have skied them in Indiana. It's all park and ice here, and those guys say that the Karmas are their favorite ski ever (except for the Candides.)
because dynastar edges are like butter on rails. not all edges are made equal. eventually, certainly, all edges crack, but the rate which the dynastar edges go is amazing. they are excellent skis, but the durability from rails is an issue. and no it is not hype. those who ride their skis hard on rails do have problems, more so than a lot of other brands. but i am not knocking dynastar, their skis are dope, just not on rails
Man, the 2006 K2 Public Enemies are Fat! They carve unbelievably, seem to have no speed limit.Just the right stiffness to bomb anything. They hug the terrain and look for more. Tried em yesterday at +5.on 179cm. I feel I may mount them back some cause the front was too short. My 5'10.5,165lbs. Would prefer a longer front to feel the terrain sooner.or K2 make them longer.
Then tried out a pair of Line Mothership Ti 180cm. They say there 182 but they're no longer than the Public Enemies. The Motherships were at like -3 but still turned ok. But since its a softer Powder ski it wasn't able to handle EC PP DH's as fast as the Public Enemy.Tip too soft!I hope it handles deep crud good, but that will have to wait for a West Coast test.I'd like to try the 179,189 Visious bet they'd rock my socks too.
The dynastar edge thing isnt hype. The difference with thier edges is that when they crack they peel themselves away from the ski, when other companies skis edges crack they are far more likely to stay in the ski, and function.
Dynastars edges flatout suck compared to most other twins on the market. Other than that they are amazing skis.
i am pretty much the same way i need a ski that rocks the park but also kills the bc and bumps and pow thats why i chosse the high society FR the 179 (fr79) is more of a pow ski but still slays the park while the 171 (fr71) is more of a park ski but holds its own in the pow and rest of the mountain i suggest you check em out
AR5,ARV,Foils,and Mantras-getting as an everyday ski for the east..dont complain about it being to fat cause anything under 100mm is just fine for east if you can ski decently
i know these two kids who are insanely good at rails, its pretty much all they do, and both of them swear by the trouble maker. all this "troublemakers suck on rails" stuff is bs, they're a great all around ski, real stiff underfoot and super soft at the tip and tail for butters and shit.
