I know "use the search bar"Already did

I bought some like .220? inch thick like plexi glass from Lowes and it was like 35 bucks. I build my flat downbox (2'W 8'L 2'H-and a down box. I hear countersinking but i have no idea what that is. I tried drilling through the sheet and it just cracked and i smashed a sheet with my bare hands. I didnt seem like it would slide right , it was "optix" it was the "5 times stronger" stuff. Now I wanna get some real nice , tough, durable, slidable top sheet.I know about lexan but not sure where to buy and how expensive. Money isnt that much of a problem as long as it isnt like 300$.

definitley lexan if you have the money. its sooo butter. it has like no friction. if you put it on a slightly un level surface it will slide right of

go with lexan its your best bet. but make sure what ever you buy is pretty thick. at least half inch or chances are it will brake

yah lexan, if you go to a sign shop, they usually have scraps of lexan left over they might sell you for really cheap.

As for countersinking. Just take a drill, drill in, then spin the drill around the edges of the hole. This makes a funnel type shape and allows the screw to sit lower than the surface level. Theres actual drill bits for this too.

that would work, but if you just take a drill bit that is a little wider then the head of the screws you are using and drill a little ways down, then use the smaller drill bit to drill the acutal hole, the head of the screw will be sitting flush on the countersunk part.


oh and if you put that pepsi logo in your box that would be sick.

usplastics.com for a sheet like 8 feet by 4 feet for like 15-30 bucks for 1/16 of an inch and 1/32 of a inch. thats what im doing. seems like a good price
