the number is multiplyed by itself the amount times of the exponents number
ex. 3^7 = 3x3x3x3x3x3x3
3^3 = 3x3x3
2^7 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2
ect..

OKAY!
So if you have 2^5 it = 2X2X2X2X2
=2X2=4X2=8X2=16X2=32, Therefore, 2^5=32
