Why is it benificial to have soft boots?

i was just wondering, whats the deal with soft boots, do they really help that much, and if they do, what do they help with?

^ and just it helps with the type of skiing we do. try pressing with mad stiff racer boots.

yep. stiff is better for carving, which isn't exactly what we need, so why go stiff and uncomfortable when you could go.... not stiff, and comfortable.

I have a pair of softs just for fucking around in, they weight next to nothing. But I can't get them as tight as I'd like anymore now that they're a bit packed out. I don't feel they perform nearly as well at anything besides being light and comfortable compared to my power 90s, but I guess that's to be expected.
