i need new skis for my new boots.
choices is VOlkl Gotamas or Mantras.
I skis blacks, double blacks, trees(glades), backcountry, bowls, and of course deep POW!
I be 5'11", about 160 lbs. fully loaded.
So I'm thinking 183 in length. maybe 176? what do you think?
FIrst, what would you wanna rock, and second what do you think would be best for those conditions? What would make you happiest in all those spots?

I should point out that I def. want those Gotamas, but I just don't know how well they hang in anything but POW.
Could someone who has them, uses them shed some light on this?

i've heard the maiden ak's hold up real well, and they are pretty fat so they can go through the pow, but still hold up on the trails and speed through the trees. that's just my opinion. i've heard great things from the seth pistols and the maiden's.
then there's also kingswood, nobody has them so you'll be real original. they make a real sick ski that's fat.

Gotmas are awesome skis. I would not get either if these were going to be ur primary skis. If there going to be pow skis then you can't make a wrong decision.
