ive seen a bunch of people with burton stuff in their entourage this year, i remember a while ago when it was taboo for skiers to wear burton, or a boarder to rock siver (which ive seen alot of) have your views changed on 'intermixing' brands? and would you rock a sick ass sean white jacket? that kids got some mad style.

Salomon is now owned by Amer Group, owner of several decidedly non-ski brands(such as Mavic bike rims). You did a nice job of contradicting yourself.
I personlly would wear a Burton Jacket if:
-it had technology I wanted, such as their Ipod jacket, or better waterproofing
-it was a hassle to buy other outerwear, ski specific or not ex. having to buy it without trying it on on the internet
-I got it for free.

she's not talking about amer group or mavic though so she is not contradicting herself. salomon primarily sells ski & snowboard equipment, not bike rims. therefor it doesn't matter what their parent or sibling companies make.

well some Burton jackets (and backpacks) actually do have soft-flex ipod controls (the backpack is sick)

If you are trying to say that Salomon is not a ski company because it's owned by a corporation (Amer) who also owns Mavic you are wrong.
1st Salomon is part of a group who also owns Atomic, Dynamic and Volent. It's actually more ski then Rossignol owned by Quicksilver... Get your facts straight.
2. Salomon also owns Bonfire and their shit is fuckway steezier then burton. Hell and you gotta say Salomon's own line of clothing looks good this year.
3. Burton's all about them, why should I a skier feel I support the MAN of snowboarding.

because anon and analog will have skiers on their roster soon. unless i am mistaken, anon already does. that demonstrates pretty clearly to me that burton cares about snowsports, not just snowboarders. i like to support companies that show love to both skill-sets.

i wear all 686 all the time. i think in the future will hopefully see everyone getting along and sponsors meshing together both types of athletes. RED and anon sponsoring skiers is off to a right start
