The Alias Problem and how to stop it.

Alright kiddies, I know you think it's funny to create a new NS name and make all kinds of stupid posts and clog up the forums with bullshit, but this needs to stop. People come to the forums to find information and discuss topics. I just don't understand your maturity level. I mean sometimes the stuff is funny, but it's getting out of control.
I propose 3 possible solutions to this problem:
1) Create a special forum for aliases to go and have fun and jerk off together.
2) Ignor them, and maybe they'll crawl back in their shell and go away (not likely)
3) Or Only one IP address allowed per person.
It would be nice to not have any major mod involvement. Is this a big problem or am I just being a bitch??? I just think it gets pretty damn old.
Any thoughts?

yeah well, we've said that if you only limit 1 name per IP then houses with like brothers or sisters couldn't have multiple names.
I mean I guess the best thing we can do is try to ignor them. I mean it just sucks that you have to dig through 50% of bullshit to find 50% of quality info.

Yes, creating a new forum would do the trick. We could call it the Spam Forum. Wait just a minute........... Oh yeah! I just remembered the aliases come on here to piss people off, not "Jerk off together" in a private forum. A new forum would be useless.

I think the easiest way to stop it would be taking 1 alias that has really pissed people off, and use his ip to find out his real name. Then e-murder him so every1 can laugh at him and he will be scared off the site forever. This would scare anyone else who is thinking about doing it away

his point is that allowing an ip adress would only allow one person per household to hold a newschoolers account. dipshit.

I still think that a obligatory training forum for newbs and aliases is a good idea. Users that have more than 50 post can move up to the real forum.
It will eliminate newb talk and discurrage aliases.

good idea in theory but that will just encourage dumb multiple posting to get the post count higher. similar to what happened with the old "top contibutors" chart.

meh, i don't really see it as that big of a problem right now, no sense fixing what isn't broken... people get called on being an alias like, the first 100 posts they make, whether they are or not. The hate of ns will stop aliases from becoming that big of a problem.

like in redtape b footage when they call that kids house, looking for his "younger sister" that was a good clip

That is exactly what everyone should do...you just have to think, why do people make aliases...to piss people off, people know that if you make an alias on ns, you will get entertainment by people getting mad at the alias. So the solution? Ignore the fuck out of the aliases...don't post in their threads, don't bash on them, don't even look at the threads they make...just isolate them, and they won't have any reason to have an alias.

I don't understand why moderators don't just moderate. When an alias with no posts makes a comment in ski gabber like "skiing sucks dick, snowboarders rule!!!11".... or any other obvious stupid bullshit, why doesn't the post just get deleted, and the IP address banned? it's not like it's that hard to spot spam posts.

make it so that you can only have three or so accounts per ip
All times are Eastern (-5)
