So does anyone use the FinalScratch Software?

With this software, you can basically connect, two turntables (Mp3 or Vinyl, or both) and a turntable mixer, to your computer. I wanted to use this so that I could take vocals I was recording and scratch them. You can see what a setup would look like, if you click that link, and change the image (by clicking the Setup Example link, below the picture).

NO. Always go the Rane Serato route, much better, same price.

Ok, went to guitar center yesterday, and saw what it was. Basically a turntable which has a vinyl record, which is simply a control record. It sends the signal to the computer, and you can scratch mp3's, using a real turntable.

i've thought about getting fs for years now since i saw richie hawtin use it like four years ago. such a cool dealie. would save me tons of money on records too. i've just never owned a laptop, meaning i can't use it when i play out.

but what's this rane serato you speak of?

It's only a $50 dollar difference... The question is whether one system is better than the other...

SERATO...trust me on this one...

every debate about this has swung to the serato option. I trust Rane more anyways.
