well news has it they will have a new baby girl in the world by next week. if you don't know who they are they are a cult mainly located in the french parts of the world (switzerland, belgium, quebec) anyways headquarters are in quebec, well they believe (well the laeder) that he was abducted by aliens and anuyways he has all these beliefs but anyways they have a lot of weird things about them, but one of their goals is to clone a human, now about a year and a half ago they were in the news because a congressman in virginia (i think) his son died and he wanted to clone his son, and was willing to pay a large sum of money, well it turns out he raelians have a shitload of money and have been trying to clone someone for a while,

as it stands right now they think the baby girl clone will be born within two weeks, in quebec somewhere, they do not need very high tech facilities it turns out for cloning, a simple science lab in a school would work (i think thats how they are doing it) with a few other technological things added,

well canada currently does not have any laws against cloning so it is legal

i just think it would be neat for some people to know that, i personally don't agree with completely clonging a human, organs i have no problem, but a complete human is wron gin my opinino

let me be the first in this thread to say that there is no real answer to any of this, just like gun control and abortion.

there is also supposedly a baby boy/clone that will be born in january somewhere in europe. it was privately funded. as for the whole stem-cell-organ-growing controversy, it all goes back to the whole argument about when a fetus actually becomes a human baby.

if you're against human cloning then you should be against artificial insemination where they fertiliza 20 eggs and put them inside the woman. where 19 die off and 1 attaches to the wall of the uterus.

sometimes people aren't cloning for the high failure rate but because of the moral ramifications. Like is the clone a person. what about 'headless clones'(clones that are born dead and used solely for organs). And what about clones that are 'imperfect', clones that are born retarded or with physical stuff wrong, what happens to them? Are they destroyed, and if not, who's responsible for them? Their is alot of controversy of cloning, and it's really hard to come to a sure conclusion with anything besides your own moral beliefs.

Cloning is cool. We could make a wicked army like in Star Wars if they let us clone. Thats probably the whole reason people don't like cloning.

Think about it though, I mean, already the value of human life is so cheap. Tons of murder, abortion, lots of shit. A persons life is worth like nothing. Imagine how much less it would be if we could say; 'who gives a fuck if he dies, we can just make another one...'. Know what I'm saying? Without cloning, human lfe as we know it is worth jack shit. It's not cool.
