so i was just thinking, and this is probably the most original ski video ever produced.......im not saying it is the best ever by any means (1242 still)......but in terms of just originality and creativity i would say it is the best, it doesn't resemble any previous ski vid or snowboard vid, the music isn't stolen from any other action sports vid, the cinematography is completely unique......i just think they did a fucking good job on this vid, just on making something new and creative......i love this vid
i'll throw it down that this is the best ski movie ever. i loved redtape and didn't know how they'd follow that up but whiteshine blew me away. the junkyard segment...amazing. so freaking creative. gorgeous cinematography. and they don't overdo anything - at the end you're not like "man, we've seen this (line, rail, jump, etc.) a million times." you're just like "crap, it's over." plehouse movies just strike as being BY FAR the most mature and artistic films in the industry.
personally im probably gonna get ragged on for saying this, but i think that teddybear crisis was 50000 times better and i actually found whitehsine relatively lame. sorry plehouse, i just wasnt impressed
Please see Powdermag.com reviews. That sums my response; I wrote it. I went out of my way to be objective and I loved the film. Phil told me what he wanted to do and I think they were wildly successful. Whiteshine rocked my socks.
