um.....they never split up? they've been working on a new album for quite some time now, but have never ever split up (you'd be reading my obituary right now if they did because i'd kill myself). hopefully the album will be out sometime in the spring, but i really don't mind waiting when it comes to the fucking greatest band alive.

they didnt break up, maynard has side projects as well as danny. adam is probably doing some animation shit somewhere

They're somewhere in the process of writing a new album, which supposedly will be released in 06.

And yeah, they never broke up.

Check out Danny's other band, Pygmy Love Circus. Manly biker rock. Awesome straight up rock beats from progressive rock drumming's chosen one.

they create a sound that is definetly original. just the guitar alone is fucken orignal. for just regular drop d tuning the shit is fucken hard to play. singer well thats another story as well as the drums. everything is just remarkable about them and definetly deserve more credit for their work.

im so glad i got the chance to see them live. that shit was fucken amazing. not one slip up and everything was played to perfection. the quality of their live show is outstanding. it sounded as if the fucken cd was playing thats how clear it was. i came so close to catching one of danny's drum skins. at the end of the show he launched his sticks and the skins into the audience. i wasnt on the floor but in the first section and the thing flew and had a mind of its own and made its way toward us but turned at the last second.

I haven't seen Tool unfortunately, but I did make it to a Perfect Circle concert on their last tour. It was up there with the best concerts I've ever seen, they just do everything so well it's ridiculous.

i saw them three nights in a row in vegas, slc, and denver a few years back, and again in denver last time they were here. unfortunately for me though, the night before the last denver show they played in colorado springs and played like a 12 minute version of opiate, but i didn't make that show. curses. i can't fuckin wait for the new album. i got the lateralus picture discs hanging on the wall them shits are sick

He's one of the best vocalists for sure, but where he blows everybody away is with his lyrics. Now those are just amazing, I have yet to see any song come close to comparing with anything by Tool. I mean, who can write a cheery-sounding song about prison sex?

So I just found out that the rumored release date for the new CD is early january '06, with a DVD possibly coming out earlier. My life may soon be complete, that is, after they tour.

man that would be sweet. oh, and lat, i just wanted to point out that the correct spelling is lateralus. anyway, yeah, i have been hearing that it will come out soon, im really excited for it. i kinda want a couple songs like the hidden song on lamc, i think that style sounded really good. anyway, i think it will be solid.
