i guess they are like any onther fks or the p18 binding. bombproof, lightweight and superdurable. the brakes are kinda thin tho so they tend to bend easy if you bail switch. ive rocked the fks180 for 2 seasons now and have no complaints. the nice thing is you can always crank the din up if they prerelease, cause they wont release as easy as any other binding whatever the din is set at. get em!
I have the 120's. I love them. They have a different toe piece than the 155 or 180's. It's the same toepiece as the AXIAL binding which is nice becuase it has an upward release as well so it's a little safer.
I don't think they're worthwhile unless you're getting a really good deal. Functionally, they're not much different than P12's, which can found pretty cheap these days. If you truly need a bomber binding, go with the 155.
Race bindings are all metal, retail bindings usually have a bunch of plastic, so race is heavier. But, the weight is almost under your foot (especially on Look/Rossi, small footprint) so it doesn't add much in terms of swing weight for spinning.
after years of hearing both sides I know now that the fks 120 is slightly lighter than the p12 lifter, but somehow tiny bit heavier than the p10 which is basically the same. I think the fks120 is 1380grams while the p12 is 1400, the smallest difference in the world, but I still wish I would have gone fks cause I originally thought they were much heavier.
