Washing a puffy

i have the stuka jacket, is it a bad idea to wash it? not that i have to, but if i do. just wondering if the down will flatten and make it lose the puff

no, you can wash it, but I'd let it air dry

wash it in cold water and air dry it. when it dries it will be all flat and compact, but don't worry, all the air has just been forced out by the water from the washing machine. just work your way around the jacket and sort of pinch all the down pockets and pull the feathers apart to get the air back in there. after a few hours it should be back to normal.

throw a tennis ball or two in the dryer (just another hint) so the feathers don't all get stuck in one place.

Cool wash with little or no detergent then put it in the drier with tennis balls.

tecwash, in cold water, with a bunch of tennis balls in the dryer to keep the puffy.......welll..........puffy.

when you put it in the dryer with the tennis balls make sure it's just on air.

you don't want to melt the jacket.
