Been skiing for years, recently decided to get into the park/jib scene. Just bought a new setup, looking for some feedback.
I'm 5'11, 165 lbs. Got 171cm 04/05 1080's (the ones with wings) with matching 1080 pro boots (the silver/black ones).
Mounted last years Rossi Scratch 200 bindings at core centre.
I'll be riding mainly at Edelweiss and Tremblant.
what's the deal?
bring on the snow...

I have those same skis and I love them, I also have your boots and they are the best I've ever had...
Good taste beech!
Only comment... You should have bought a Salomon binding... why???
With a Salomon ski and binding you get 2 years on the ski... Without a Salomon binding you only get 1...
Also... Salomon bindings are the best and they also have a 5 yrs warranty...
That's the top in the industry...

hm, i dunno, Rossi/Look bindings are genrally thought of as better. I can't talk though, because I haven't tried both.

didn't know when I bought the skis. I did check out some salomon bindings when I bought the skis, I think they were 914Ti's but I'd already dropped a ton of cash on the skis/boots/pants/coat, and the rossi's seemed like a good deal.
I'm really looking forward to the snow so I can try em out. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that all the ridiculous foam core/durability rumours are a load of crap.
haha, if they delam or break an edge after a year, I'll just have to mount my bro's old soly's before I take em in for warranty, lol.

good choice of length and big up to the center mount, the boots a sick, have em, love em and as far as the bindings are concerned the salomons are lighter but the rossi's(if you got axial) are sweet cause of the diagonal heel + they look dopetastic. nice set up

good call on the rossi bindings. with the two year warranty you'd get from taking the salomon binders...you'd actually need it. i say so from my personal experiences with salomon bindings, anyways.
your setup sounds good to go. see you on the hill bro.

salomon bindings most definetly are NOT the best, in fact they are the worst. I like my P12 Jibs a lot lot better than my old S812 Ti's, which are garbage.

1080's are alright to start off on. But once you get ripping you might notice that they fall apart. 1080 boots are nice, I had the ones you got, but then I sold them and got this years model. I'm probly gonna switch over to the scratch skis and boots for 06/07 though.

I've been riding 1080's my whole career and not once have i had an edge come off or a de-lam, I've taken them on countless handrails, hundreds of rails and jumps and numerous cliffs and drops.

BAHAHAHA if snux sold him all the shit then it musta come from sportchek which means i transfered it all in years ago, fun skis, for starting to ride park you will love them, the boot are sweet, i hope they're snug cause the liner will pack alot, the bindings i have a feeling are not axl but rather axm which means no diagonal heel therefor no point in going rossilook. i bet its a light and fun setup to ski
