what do u think is the peak age for freestyle skiing. Some say younger some say older. Also how old are you guys?

Define "freestyle skiing". Do you mean for being a park rat, or for actual "freestyle skiing" as in moguls and such? Or, do you mean big mountain freeskiing?

park- 19-24
moguls 22-26
big mountain 27 +

im 15. i would say for peak park:
18 is a good balence between balls and strength.
although, that is a estamit, not a guidline, nobody is sayin a 30 year old cant huck.

Park: 17-26
Olypic Areals and Moguls: 20-26
Big Mountain: 22-33

Depends on when you start. If you start older you're going to peak older. Main thing is to get out and do it and have fun.

I was stupid at 15, good at 18, still geting better at 22, haven't peaked at 25.

i'm 19. peak age for physical capabilities is probably mid twenties, but i mean, anybody can get good if they just work at it. some start later, some start sooner. it all depends..

im 15. there isnt really a peak age i dont think but most pros hit the peak of their careers at 18-23.

well i'm 19 and this is only my 3rd year of skiing park. I wish I had started sooner, because I know i'd be a lot better than I am now. If my 14 yr old self could be where I'm at now, i think I might've taken it seriously and competed.

i feel that skiing is one of the few sports where age and size doesnt matter. Like obviously when you're 70 you wont be as good, as a 20 years old.

it really depends on the person. Like some people get awsome young like 14, and dont develope.

Myself when I was 14 was going through huge growth spirts and was uncordinated.So Im thinking my peak would be in my mid early 20's. The only nice thing about being young is you're fucking crazy and dont get injured as easy.

Girl would proably peak in there teens, like gymnasts.

I'm 18, and I like to think my best is yet to come.

well look at the three B sports..

tony peaked in his late 30s, and dave mirra isn't young.

i think we havnt seen the peak yet, kids like tanner still have to age. The peak age will get older and older as the sport does... even long after tanner and myself die of old age.

my grand father is 73 and is still skiing mogguls. no 360 tho. but one of my friend's dad is like almost 60 and can do 360, thats sooo funny to see

I would say peak age is younger than in the 20s like most people are saying. Sure, your skills might be at the peak of your ability at that age, but in order to be that good in your 20s, you need to be going bigger around the age of 14-16. The younger you are, the less fear you have. Because I started at that age, as many of you did, you are much better at tricks around the age of 20, but do you notice you aren't quite as ballsy at trying new stuff as you were when you were 16?

The peak age is mostly 21 (for quebec riders). If you're sick at 18, you'll be ill at 21!

I'm fucking 28 and just got crazy about freestyle skiing. Sure, it's no age to start training and competing. It's all about fun!

Back when I was 16 there was no parks, rarely any mogul runs, but sure we did some easy jumps back then. And the shittest part: no twin-tip skis and shit!

Most of you who're still teenagers are probably worried about how you're gonna be at my age, but let me tell you, the older you get, the crazier you wanna be.
And that's what keeps you young, your freemind, cause freedom skiing is what sets you free!!

Otherwise, you just stay scared shitless...and age...

You, yourself are THE limit!

peak age depends on the person. for some people, its fairly young, they end up getting burnt out, or injured. for others, its later on, they were smart, didn't get burnt out, and didn't get injured.

The best age to ski or snowboard is around 16-21 years old because you are very influenced by the pro riders and you don't fear nothing!

ive been jibbing since i was around 12, and im 14 now... but im really big for my age(5 11, 160 lbs) and in the last 2 seasons i havent had any balls at all. only really throwing 180's off small jumps. doing some slides on really small shit too. but i fucking charge around the mountain. park is scary shit when ur young
