No i took my skis up to a place in the city and i was going to get my edges fixed in on lil spot. and he said they broke on one of the segments. On the base about where ull slide on a rail its in like inch and a half part theres like 3 or 4 peices of edge. And ones starting to come up. There not cracked.
that happened to my tm's at the nosecap, the edges are segmented, not full wrap around and both sides on the front disconnected and started to act like a shovel on snow. They warrantied them for me, and now I only buy skis with wrap around edges (nose to tail). The ar5 are segmented the same way, I was surprised to see that.
The gap in the edge is necessary. It's there for energy dissipation on tip/tail slap. A full, welded, one piece edge would crack. And is fucking expensive to make.
