Reactor side releasing all the time

I had my reactors mounted by a shop on my invaders and finally got out on them last night...
I had a hell of a time, they self released almost every time I hit a jump and rode away clean, minus one ski.
They were always releasing to the side, but WAY to easily. Din is at 9 already, but it seems the side releasing is a problem, any suggestions?

I hpe you got the 12s cuz either those need to be readjusted for foward pressure or you're going to have to turn them up. Put your boot into them and look for the little foward preesure thingys in the front of the toe. The black one should be in the very middle of the metal one. If it is flush their isn't enough foward pressure, if it's flush with the housing theirs too much. Also check the to height. Or just brake them and get new ones then return the new ones for store credit and get different bindings.

tell me you set your din higher than 10, even seth sets his at 11, and im not dropping 100 ft cliffs. Rarely is there a reason to go past 10 in din, and side releasing is the issue, raising the din will likely just keep my locked in on a normal release situation when i would actually want release.

I thought it wasn't good to have your din set close to the max? Like being on din 9 out of 10 will ruin the release springs must quicker than if you had a 9 out of 12.

change the side release din on the binding. (the big screw in the center of the "suspension plate"). you might have wanted to get r12s, but i had the same problem, shops set them rediculously low.

^shops are liable for you if you crash and your din is set too high, so you get hurt. Most shops(not all) set your din at the low end of the spectrum, to be safe(legal reasons) if you feel your din is too low, turn it up a bit (like half a number, or 1 max, not like 6 at a time). Then, if thats not enough incrementally increase your din until you find where your binding will still release, but doesnt pre-release.
In this specific case, read:
The reactors are built to side release like that. The side release din is controlled by a separate screw in the middle of your baseplate. turning this up will increase the amount of tension on the spring, and in turn the amount of force required to eject sideways. The whole purpose of this is that should you fall, that the binding will twist and not your ACL or some other nasty thing, so please, dont crank it all the way up. Again, incrementally is the way to go.
hope this helps.

I don't know about you guys but when my shop sets up my stuff they have me inspect that the din is what they say it is and then I have to sign a release of liability, at least whats what I think it is, and why shouldn't it be?
