alright so i am going out to snowbird in december and i hvae a decision to either rent pocket rockets up there, or bring my 169 Karmas... what are the deminsions and sizes on the pocket rockets, i am not a huge fan of salomon skis so... what do you guys think i should do?
well when i went to whistler they lost my skis so i had to rent anyway. They had alot of sick rental shops with alotta sweet skis to try out. Id rent plus its a way easier then lugging em through the airport and whatnot.
if u take both skis...and drill them together and get another pair and do the same thing... then they willl be fatter then the rockets... hahahaha so then u can bring them!
Just rent, it'll be a way to force yourself to try out other skis. Maybe you'll find something you like.
There's probably other shops/high performance rental places that'll have other models than just pocket rockets.
The don't have shit for skis. I mean they have pocket rockets, and Seth Pistols if that's what you like, but they're mounted 9cm back from center and they have renatal bindings (aka "shit on ails"). Bring your own skis, or call rental shops ahead of time to see if they have something that interests you and will actually get the job done.
I would bring my own. Why waste part of my trip trying to get used to a set of skis I've never ridden. Or even worse, finding out that the skis I rented absolutely suck and have it ruin a day or more of my trip.
