Dulling edges?

If I have brand spanky new skis, should I dull the edges under the boot to avoid catching an edge? Or does it really matter that much?

There is now, snow in the mountains here in Utah!!

It really doesn't matter that much unless you ski lots of ice.........even then it shouldn't matter so much. most companies use diamonds stones on them beotches.....leave em' and eat the fact that you have a nice sharp ski up.

I should have been more specific. I forget to mention that my question was directed more toward hitting rails.

i guess it depends the type of rails you do and so on, and how experienced you are. id say u should dull them a bit at least just under the boot though. or if not that, just the edges on ur sides facing front... unless u do a lot of unnatural, then both is cool.

I'd Dull Both Anyway... wouldn't want to have dull edges on one side and sharp on the other. Just get a stone and run it down the edge (under the bindings on each side (lightly) four or five times for each side

i dont ever touch the edges, i just let them dull on their own
