Why shouldn't girls have to try and throw down as hard as the boys?

Girls in freeskiing are not pushing the limit the way the girls in snowboarding are pushing their sport, with snowboarding you have to be talented, not just look pretty like all the women in freeskiing.
Girls pick it up- espec. "Ash" get over yourself and dont just ski to be cool!!

im gonna have to side with the guys on this one bitches, and im doing this for a couple reasons A. irls are not weaker than guys, the genetic make-up of girls actually makes it possible for them to be up to twice as strong as men and they can bear twice as much pain, you ask me what all this is for, childbirth fool, bitches are fuckin tougher stronger and can possibly be bigger with the same workout ruitine as some dudes. this gives them their first advantage, B they are smaller and more agile, i tought gymnastics last year and saw mad small little girls killin it with flifuses and such, thats their second advantage, now heres the reason why it all falls appart, girls are social butterflies, they dont go skiing to ski they go skiing to ski with their friends and talk skiing is a social activity for girls not they same push eachother sport it is with guys, im not saying girls arent good at skiing or that they shouldnt be payed im just noticing they subtle differences between the sexes thats all

Yeah because all male athletes have been competeing in their respective sports for 1000's of years. We all know skiing is a genetic trait passed down from generation to generation. This makes no sense at all. How am I born at any more of an advantage then girls at a sport like skiing?
And to the girl that said women don't have testosterone, perhaps you need to read up a little more about your body.

i agree with this kid...girls skiers and snowboarders are mediocre at best when compared to mens, at least in the park. any dont try to argue with it, because you know its true. to win in a mens slopestyle comp, you need to have a switch rightside 10 in your bag...to win womens, you need to have a 540. its wrong, and theres no denying that.

ive learned not to take this shit seriously. the fact of the matter is that ash will beat the orginal poster in a slopestyle hands down. the guy/girl gap is only really apparent at the high-end comps and some vids. sure she cant take down those kids. but she sure as hell can rip harder than 95% of the ns population and you shouldnt talk shit on her or any other girls.

i think girls should just be good, not good for a girl, just good.theres really only few girls who are actually good like ashley and michelle.no offense to girls like marie martinod and others in that area but i mean seeing a 3 mute gets old real quick no matter who you are. so props to ash and michelle! they are the real women of freeskiing!

i think that there just isnt enough inscentive for a girls to do better in the sport like other people have said the major comps are being won with 7's or 9's. maybe they should put girls in with the guys in comps so that they have to be more competitive.

today girls will never reach the same level as guys at freestyle skiing. look at sarah, kristi, and grete, the only one thats reasonably good is grete, which is why they have to ski in a seperated class. kristi isjust pathetically bad....
it could be because there isnt enough motivation and competition for girls, if they were to compete against guys they would probly progress a lot,, but it wouldnt be fair cause they arnt as good.

I agree men are more physically capable. A lot of women do not have the lower body strength to absorb the impact of a huge jump. If a girl attemped something like chads, i would make sure to have a helicopter waiting. Now i don't want to be very critical of women, but theres no skirting around the fact that men are more "athletic" than women. It's just nature. Also it is important to note that women are more susceptible to injuries such as a torn ACL. The shape of one of the chondiles (lumps on the end of a bone) on the femur of women, actually drastically increases the chance of tearing their ACL.
And while we are talking about biology, men are naturally extremely competitive and have an internal drive to perform better (more so than women). Now this is a combination of testosterone and psychology. It takes a lot less internal persuasion to get a man to attempt something like chad's than it would take a woman.

What I don't understand, is why women aren't more interesting to watch. Like, look at figure skating, women's is generally way more interesting to watch than men's, even though men do perform more technical things. Figure Skating, like skiing is a performance sport, not based entirely on technical aptitude. So I do not believe that the matter of men being stronger is the sole reason why we're not stepping it up. Girls need to like, drink some secret potion that lets us know exactly how to make certain things look before women's skiing is going to be as sick as it can be.

yeah, that's the thing I was trying to say with my post... skiing is much more a presentation sport than a strength comp...it's like dancing in a way... there's not reason that female skiing shouldn't be entertaining...we have the ability to make shit look good, just look at figure skating and gymnastics or what-have-you....
