Why shouldn't girls have to try and throw down as hard as the boys?

Girls in freeskiing are not pushing the limit the way the girls in snowboarding are pushing their sport, with snowboarding you have to be talented, not just look pretty like all the women in freeskiing.
Girls pick it up- espec. "Ash" get over yourself and dont just ski to be cool!!

not the most intelligent post, but I kinda agree with the original question. If women are supposed to be equal to men, why do we have womens leagues in sports? shouldn't everyone compete together?
I know i know, men are more dominant physically. just thought I'd toss a hole into feminism theory.

There is no reasons girls should suck so much compared to men. All park skiing is is basically aerobatics and gymnastics...both of which girls can do well. They just dont do well with skiing because they are pussies who dont step up and do the same shit guys do. im calling out all women of freesking, especiall "ash" god damn i cant believe she has sponsors...i guess her boobs are nice though i could see why men would want to sponsor her

ok, I will. there are guys who do gymnastics, and they are usually better than girls. guys are much more physically strong than girls are and I believe that's where the difference is. I have several friends who have been doing gymnastics for years and they all say that guys are better. there are girls who throw down in the park, and just because they don't look like tanner doesn't mean they suck and don't step up. I know I throw down as hard as I can in the park. props to all the other girls who rips!

I think it's awesome chicks are skiing in larger numbers. It shows the sport is growing. But i think there is too big a gap between the pro girls and the pro guys. I dont know how to fix that, but right now you can't lump girls and guys together in the same events. It wouldn't work. Girls would complain about never winning, even though they expect to be treated equal. Combined events wont happen until the gap between girls and guys shrinks drastically.

I disagree with this thread completely. First off, Ash has sponsors because she's good at skiing. She doesn't need to "get over herself" she's sick and is progressing the women's side of things. Remember a year ago when she did that switch 270? Personally, I ski because i love it. I know I can only speak for myself, but this sport is about fun for me and I'm having a fucking good time. Stop hating, get off your computer and go out and ski.

ok first off before you kids get the wrong impression there are a lot of girls who can throw down.
Kristi though is a different story, I cant remember the name of the ski movie I was watching but I could have counted at least 10 times that she did a 360 crossed mute, it was so incredibly boring. Sarah Burke though is incredibly amazing for a girl in the pipe and on hits she really has the looks and the skill.
