Ok ok, normally I look at this and say oh haha, what a silly guy. Today, and it may have something to do with the fact that I am drunk, in Germany and wont be skiing hardly at all this year. Yes, you are right, we are no better than you... in voicing our opinion, yet ours is a much more positive one. Don't pretend like you know skiing, because you know what pro did what last year and who should be skiing like what. I'm going to continue to do one footed slides, albeit, I stay away from the sideways ones, but if anyone wants to do them, go for it. I hear everyone talking about progression on rails. So what do they mean when they say this if it is the same people saying this that are saying one footers are gay. Do 1080s onto rails? Not even hit the rail- maybe just look at it really intensley? Show that rail who is boss, yeah? Or maybe nose slides and tail slides? Hey, not a bad idea, yet half the people doing them are sliding the real under their toe piece of their binding and calling it nose. Plus the fact that if you are talking about tricks that tend to look akward, nose slides take the cake. But hey, I dont care. Lets see some variation. Or is hitting a rail switch the best you can think of. Slide a rail 5050 and then come talk to me. I have been around this "new era" of skiing since the beginning and thus, I am giving myself the allowance to tell you to shut the hell up.
Your talking about Andy Mahre and all that he is doing with skiing. He isnt using poles half the time. Now I personally think that pole belong to skiing, but if he doesnt, fuck if I care. He can do what he wants. He is a good skier. However, he himself is guilty of the very thing you are. Possibly even worse, because he is hypocritical about it. Read his sig. In fact, if you are reading this, I'd like to hear your rebuttle- one that actually has logic as to why your version of progression is right? Or if you would like to answer for him Knotbox, because you seem to be in the inner workings of skiing and all it encompasses, by all means, do so.
I got to watch Charles and his bro two/three seasons ago on the glacier out in Whistler. I was happy (and I'm going to give myself props here) to see that someone else was out there trying to push skiing in a somewhat new direction. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but the fact that you are puttin down one of the most unique and talented skier we have yet to see, drops the worth of it so much more.
So I implore you, either say something with a little big of logic and reasoning, or else, quite simple really, shut the absolute fuck up. Thankyou and goodnight.
