04/05 public enemy

Alright I've read tons of threads on here and I've seen two different opinions on the 04/05 PEs. I'm skiing on the east coast and what I'm really after is a good all mountain ski. Your thouhgts.

I got this years im pumped to try them out. I heard the 04/05 was better? that true? cuz i got my 06's for less than what 04/05's cost right now on an ebay auction brand new never drilled for $285

depends on where you ski, out here in the east 85 in the waist is kinda pushin it, thats what ill be on this year but its still pretty wide for the shit hills in NY. the new ones are over all a better ski because the wider width makes them slightly stiffer, but it also makes them slightly slower edge to edge when is a negative on the hardpact

i have the 04/05 publics. they are heavy, stiff, and dont have any pop. if you want an indestructable ski...get them. if you want a ski that will perform...then dont

when you say it wont perform, in what way are you talking. I need a ski that I can take all over the mountain. I'm not looking for a ski that will perform well in the park.
