I just got a pair of last years ar5 and was looking at the recommended mounting point ( im pretty sure thats what the little arrow on the sidewall is, correct me if im wrong) And it seems to be at the thinnest point of the ski, which would be core center (i think). I was just wondering if thats how its supposed to be, and also, for anyone that has the ski, where is the reccomended point in relation to true center.
the core center usually isnt where the recommended mouting center is, i dont know about ar5 though... if they put a mark at the core center, then theres defiintly other marks where the conventional mounting points are.
Just go to your local store and ask the loca certified technician, hell help you out on this, this is what hes paid for
^pretty sure it is. i just got my 05 ar5's mounted, same ones as u, and i got them true center, and the middle of the binding is not the middle of the ski. pretty sure that core center is in the middle of the place where the sidewalls are almost vertical
Yea well i ski in MA for most of my skiing, and pretty much all i do there is park. BUt i go out west for 1 week each year and all i do is steeps and trees so it seems like mounting them at the arrow will be good for me.
