I listen to metal, rap would just make me wanna roll down the window and wave my guns at people. But the best driving songs are "Panama" by Van Halen and "Turbo Lover" by Judas Priest because they're car-related.
when i used to drive my dad's old bimmer i would turn off the music when i drove fast, so i could hear the sound of the engine (fun to listen to really) and if the tires were squealing so i would know when to back off.
of course when i drove fast i used to do laps on an extremely dangerous road (chuckanut drive for anyone around here) at about 11:30 at night and losing control would have meant going off a 200 foot cliff into the ocean.
yes, be careful tho, the song is dangerous - last year it made me straight line down cucumber bowl at breck switch and i hit a little rock and mcgoverned for about 100ft.
i suggest emo. that way you will be already ahead of the game. when you kill someone and their family takes your parents for everything they are worth. and you will have to live under the burden that you ruined your families life.
fuck i was just going to say that, lowrider by war
or the theme from the start of pulp fiction, in the cafe
if its highway driving, you cant beat led zeppeling, pearl jam, soundgarden, temple of the dog, or of coure, eveyones favorite, gordon lightfoot, if your canadian.

What kind of techno do you have in mind. I've got a million I could name. Off the top of my head...try Crystal Method, Atlas Plug, Alec Empire, Juno Reactor, Aphex Twin, Andy Hughes, or Paul Oakenfold.
