how small is to small?

yeh how small can ski sizes be if i am 50kg and about 165cm tall they should be about up 2 ur chin right? so how much shorter can u go

what most people say at the shops is that it should be right about eye level to mid forehead. i wouldn't go any shorter than chin. then it just starts lookin funny if you ask me.

I have 165cm concepts that go right to the top of my head. I wouldn't mind something a bit shorter.

Chin to forhead is the usual range. If you stick to groomed stuff, go on the shorter side so you can save your legs. If you do lots of powder and crud, go longer for some extra float and stability.

I would say that too short is below the chin. My smallest skis go to about my mouth, largest to the top of my head. If you're 165cm tall 160 should be perfect at 50kg

don't go anything below 165 thats a good base but if you like shorter skies don't go above 171 its kinda a small range but it works the best

I disagree with the above post. If he's 165cm tall, a 165 cm ski should be the longest he considers....171 is really getting up there for any type of ski/skier. As previously discussed, it is a preference but I'm assuming that if someone asks for a length suggestion they really don't know what they prefer. I wouldn't agree, but everyone has thier own opinions.

I agree, that's why I said below the chin is too small.....but I would say mouth is perfect for those stayin on piste, and top of head is perfect for those doing more dough than groom, eye level perfect for those doing both. Of course, it's important to consider weight, not height should be the influencing factors.
