Is there much difference in the flex. I know the core profile is different so its not as soft as the 179. Im too light for skis that long that are stiff. Is it still soft like the 79?
What, so you posted this just as a test then? Hahaha... if you're worried about it being too long, just get the 179. The 189 is a good all-around ski for me. I'm 6'2 210. Are you? If you're worried about it, and you're not a particularly large individual, get 179s. Easy.
im not worried about it being too long in worried about it being too stiff. If its barely stiffer than the 179 im going for it. im 6' 160lbs but 179 seems way too short.
dude, just skied my 189 SV. Mounted +4. I'm 5'10". Very glad I got the 189. great everyday ski. length was not a problem. Core is much thicker. Crazy compairing the different sizes. Mounted +4 the length was not a problem at all.
You plan on using it for mostly big mountain. Youll want the extra length for sure.
enjoy the 189. Gonna be sometime before you pick them up I suppose. You could always make it to the northern hemisphere. PNW is getting raped by snow...
^exactly skimasterflex. Fakie_nz, no offense, but stop asking to many particular questions, it is a ski, not a high performance race car. If you were an expert skier you wouldn't even consider going for the 179, you would KNOW you need the 189. Go ahead and get the 189 if you are a good skier with strong legs, otherwise the 179 will be awesome
