in tangerine dream Peter Oleanick segment..was he riding the foils? and i was also considering on buying them...are they any good. or is there a reason that people talk shit about the 1080s that i dont know about.
theyre not heavy what are you talking about theyre made out of foam and then they just become noodles after a while theyre definately not heavy what so ever
they for sure don't become noodles. i have a pair of the orinal teneighties i have kept for rails, and they are fine. i have had 3 more pairs of teneighties and they all have held up wonderfully.
the foam doesnt have anything to do with the flex of the ski. thats just pretty much space filler which also makes them very light. the flex or stiffness of the ski is determined by the space frame cap
Yea personally i enjoy rideing salomons too ........this is ver opinionated but in my opinion it has everything the other skis have minus some exesive wheight
the foam doesnt make them loose their life any easier than a wood core wood. the foils are stiff and light. they seem pretty durable too. ive spent 10 days on snow only but so so far they are sick
Foil's heavy - not true. Actually is one of the lightest skis. I have them.
Foam - you say you don't like it but you don't know the diff. Why...? Cause today there is no diff except for the fact that today's foam is actually more durable then wood.
Wood vs Foam... it's all about dampening... (shock absorption) So unless you want to test your landings... then shut your freakin' traps about not liking wood or foam cause it's not an issue....
Today's foam composite materials are lighter and more durable then wood... It's actually not an advantage to have wood over foam anymore...
Pretty much those who say they don't like foils are talking out of your asses... It's a new ski,,, which is putting Salomon 1080 back at the front of the sport...
It's a great skis which does everything. It has plenty of snap, pop, energy, it's also super light and fun to freerider with.
Before you go out and say FOIL and Salomon are not your favorite... Try them. They rock.
my 1080's turned into noodles after like 1 season. i could bend the tails 90 degrees the opposite way of the flex easy. i definatly dont like them, but they would be sweet for butters.
Ok, just leave. Salomans heavy? Are you shitting me kid? Thats the whole point of their space frame. Flex and lightness. Seriously, you do not know shit. You throw around big words. Its kind of like a mad lib for you huh. "I like to stay away from (Insert random company here) because they are extremely (insert describing word here).
