New fad of 'not trying'

I think its gay how a lot of kids are into the whole thing about not trying real tricks and just fucking aroudn in the park and not hitting anything and making fun of other kids. Im not saying you should be serious all the time and act like its your slopestyle run in the x-games everything you ski but dont hate on other kids because they want to get better. Like the other night i was 270ing and swpin up onto this rail the first time it snowed at school and some kids were like 'ooh damn ur soo cool'. No actualy im just skiing its not trying to show off to anyone its just for myself and trying to progress. Anyone else come across this?

thats what all the boarders do at my hill. They just all sit at the top of the park and rib kids when they miss a trick or try somthing new. Then they go down, dont do anything, and head right to the lift to come back up or do a straight air off a jump. Pisses me off

i was being sarcastic this weekend at the park and it was my first run through so i was just gonna hit the box line and i was like "this is gonna be extreeeeme!!" and the stupid snowboarders didnt realize i was joking and they were like "that was the wrong word choice cuz what you did wasnt coll at all". and then they both fell on there face.

the air blaster snowboarder crew has fucked it for everyone. I love their mentality of ride for fun, and watching travis and andrew do 30 shifties in a row is fucken funny. but they can back it up. Airblaster has started this fad that everyone just does shifties. Nobody does anything else just fucken shifties.

i think its pretty gay when someone makes fun of someone for trying something new, i agree with you. But on the other hand, im not all into trying to pull a switch rodeo 10 anymore. I prefer just doing big floaty 180's and work on my style. im getting too old.

i hate when people do that, whenever theres another skier i see, i try and meet them. I HATE people who hate on other, althogh iv never seen skiers do it on other skiers. :\

but still gah i hate it, skiing is about fun, no one needs to get tied up in all the seriousness. I think thats what some people are lacking. just hang loose!

actually the best part about skiing is having bad ass boots, and hanging out in the lodge. Who gives a rip if you don't even have cool skis, its all about talking shit anyways. I mean honestly, if you can't do it don't try to lear in. skiing woul be sooo much cooler if everybody just stood around and never actually did anything. All the videos would be badass becasue there wouldn't be any skiing, just pro's with sick boots talking shit.

I still say talk as much trash as possible. Talking trash gives you a mental game over them and c'mon how much shit do you talk in a day with your homies. i semi-agree and know what yuo're saying. i think its lame that people bag on you or anyone else and if they just sit there and talk shit and then get in the way pretty hardcore.. but also skiing really is just for fun. some people include progression into their fun, but some peopel just like riding and doing certain things and that is fun to em.. but, fuck it, ima ride my way, they can do theirs. annoying? yes. but, its mellow.
