I see a lot of black and yellow in videos but it seems like everything I see is boxes. Does northstar have nice rails too or not? I see video of a rainbow box and an up flat box that both look like ride on take offs too.....so whats the story?
I have a boreal and alpine pass, is northstar even worth it?

n* is supposed to opening a huge new parl this year. that might be something to consider plus the pass is for 2 mountains and if you ski 5 times it's paid for.

haha, northstar's jump line is definately not sick. If you're gonna buy a northstar pass for any reason, get it for the jibs with whacky takeoffs and cratered out landings.

well the jibs are sick, but you're right, they aren't set up or maintained that well. As far as the jump line is concerned, northstar doesn't have any vert so they can't build anything big and the stuff they do build have short flat landings and narrow little takeoffs, which sucks for carving in or doing pretty much whatever. You also have crowds to deal with on the weekends which is a pain in the balls. If you're looking for a dope jib park, check boreal, their shit is looking riddik for this year, so many dope jibs, i don't know about the jumps though, check alpine or maybe heavenly for dope jump lines.

boreal is a no brainer, so is alpine......unless i went the squaw route which is doubtful.

As far a your passes are concerned, Alpine will be the best for jumps hands-down. Boreal will have the sickest jibs this year. Northstar will also have some decent things. Northstars jumps are usually shitty and when they do build sick jumps they are closed for filming only and then they tear them down. Midweek wont be so bad because you will be able to avoid crowds. It is also true that most of N*'s jibs have no lips. Thats just how they build them. The landings get very cratered, but who knows, maybe they hired some new park people who will actually take care of that shit this year.

northstar sounds just like keystone.
Here in wisconsin they dont know how to put a lip up to a rail either, so we just get shovels and do it ourself.
Is it really that hard to figure out that wide take offs and sloped landings are good for everyone?

for sick jump line, i dunno if anyone saw sierras park on bashful towards the end of the year but there were 8 50-60ft tables in a row, all wich could be cleared easily even in 60 degree spring slush. it was pretty tyring taking thyem all in one after another after another

^Word to that...Bashful jump line is unhooked man...the step-up toward the end was super smooth and they had the masssssssive hip. Also, no gapers even dared take those lines, so there were no crowds. Good times.

haha yeah bashful was pretty nice, bust a move under the lift then hit some massive rails. they put their wall up only for a day which was super suck =( what happened to their wall of fortune?! but for a fun park sierra is always nice, hit the uppermain and bunny hill park on the way down, even though it was amazingly crowded.
