i just got a siver "raven" jacket from my ski shop and on siver's website it says that it comes insulated and not insulated. mine has like a mesh thing that goes in the whole inside and then the outer shell, so im guessing that this is just the not insulated one. how much warmer is the insulated one and is it worth returning it to go and get the insulated one? also, if i ordered it from online and it doesnt say which one it is, what one should come?
The none insulated is pretty much a water-resistant shell. Insulation is what keeps you warm. The non-insulated is meant for people who already have some kind of insulated jacket.
i payed 200 (discounted from 259 because i race- not my choice). can i buy a seperate insulation peice from another company or can siver sell me one? i dont see it on their website.
i havent ripped off the tag either so i can return it if thats the best option.
what i would do is keep this one. then you can wear a fleece or a hoodie, longunderwear, whatever under it to keep you warm. then when you want to have just a shell for warmer temps. you're good...hope that gives you some more ideas
i actually am gonna return the one i baught, and i went to a new store that ive never been too around my house (not by my mountain) and i got a nice siver anvil, WITH the insulation. its so nice.
