What exactly is a rodeo and a misty? like whats a misty 5, and whats a rodeo 5? differences? i know, im stupid.

go under literature and look up tricks. but a misty 5 is basically a frontflip 180, and a rodeo 5 is basically a lincoln 180.

kid, yer gonna get soooo confused cause youll probably get 90000000000000000000000 different definitions here. if i were you i would start refering to tricks as either the spin it is i.e. 360 720 etc, or if it an inverted or off axis spin, just say corked spin. that would be so much more simple.

a rodeo 5 is an off axis flare, think a backflip with a 180 in it, not after it. A misty is a frontflip version of a rodeo. The flip itself counts as one spin.

no no no no no! watch mistys and rodeos in slow mo and u'll see that you DO actually rotate a 540. they are not 'flips' so u can't count the flip at a full rotation becuase they are NOT INVERTS they are off axis spins. A misty is like rolling over a table and a rodeo is so ur head is off to the right and feet are off to the left and you're spinning. (if u spin left that is) they are not flips! a lincoln 180 is a lincoln loop witha 180 turn. if it was a rodeo 5 then there would be no lincoln 180s! same with thei misty. and corks. and bios. blah blah blah

naw, everyones explanation is sooo diff from mine, maybe I'm on crack, but everyone I kno and myself call a misty a front flip 180, a rodeo is a backflip 180, now a misty 5(540) is a frontflip 540, and a rodeo 5(540) is a backflip 540, so you rotate as you flip, maybe I'm wrong

A misty 5 is throwing a left or right shoulder FORWARDS. A rodeo 5 is throwing a left or right shoulder BACKWARDS. Either way, you get a bit of flip and a bit more spin, and end up spinning 540 on while wobling around in the air.

I love these questions...everyone has their own way of explaing it. Try this: get a ski video then watch it with someone who knows what's going on and get him to call the tricks as they're thrown. That's the best way to learn em without getting confused.
