back when music was first recorded, and a song came out, that was the music pretty much everyone listened too.(longgg time ago) Now, recording a cd is so much easier for artists, hence, everyone listens to something else, and there are way more smaller labels putting out cds, vs only a few big companies.....same things gonna happen to movies......what do you think?

It's different. Anyone can download music, but very few Indie films compared to the number of music are put online for access. Indie films survive through showings and DVD sales unlike "Indie" music which can be uploaded onto a site and hit a bazillion times and no one knows if it's Indie or a contracted artist.. It's a different medium.

The route the music industry took will make sure that the video industry will never follow the same path to legal downloads. There were many too many lawsuits and shit happening with music sharing for videos to ever hit that scale like that. The only way it will be possible is if the motion picture industry ends up selling the movies online for a decent price, which by the look of itunes may be sooner than later. I think its a great thing and love when fresh indie stuff hits the scene and is able to make an impact.
