Man these skis look so fucking bombproof it's not even funny. They are wide, barley any side-cut, heavy and stiff as shit. These things are gonna be the ultimate charging skis, I can tell. Got a hell of a deal on them from the rep too. All in all my stoke for this season just doubled.
I dunno straight stiff and heavy really isnt always good...I got a pair of 195 XXX's thinking the same thing but they require so much energy to ski that legs were shot after a few runs...they really werent that fun. But these skis do look alot different so hopefully you love them.
All I am saying is huge stiff straight skis are alot of fucking work, a smaller softer ski might not ski as well...but youll be skiing better on it longer.
But also the mojo is a totally different ski, I have no idea how the thing skis im just saying...triple xxx's work your legs so.
Oh and PS if you live in ontario please see your way out of this thread and to a thread on the fujatives. THanks.
How much do you weigh? I didn't have too much difficulty dealing with the 195 XXXs. I liked them actually. Yeah, they ski like tanks, but that's what they're SUPPOSED to be. If that's what he's looking for, Supermojo is a great ski.
I weigh 165 and am strong enough to handle them I just found it pointless...they fucking sucked in powder you had to muscle every god damn turn instead of just skiing them, it just seemed pointless to have my legs fried by noon and start skiing like shit. I just hated those skis...but they were also like 4 years old and the mojos probably ski alot better.
ha ha, why does every one ride such big skiis? Its jsut deny technology really. It used to be funny cuz people rode WAY skinny skiis at like 210, but why ride something huge at 195? I ride 176's and I never have problems and they don'[t even look small.
I kind of agree with you gotama...but still if youre my size 5'11' 165 and still skiing on a 176 that is really a little short for big mountain riding...I have 185s for most days and 190s for big days and those will be perfect.
I opted for the 183's. They arn't twin and I put them up next to my 187 msps and they are the same size. I ski mostly alta/bird/backcountry. I can't stop touching and flexing them. My new boots come in from Atomic next week, I am freaking out here WE NEEEED SNOOOWWWW!!
Well, after a full season of unadulterated abuse, they still show no wear or damage and I've skiied over plenty of rocks and shit with them, Heads really hold up, I heard these skis had problems maybe I just got a good pair.
You must have gotten one of the good pairs then, every pair that was sold at the shop I go to delaminated within 30 days. Definitely a super sick ski though, I'd even go as far as to say they're the best big mountain ski money can buy right now. I'm thinking about getting a pair for myself next year as long as they fix the construction, if not, it'll be all about the Legend Pros.
