I have always scrolled with my middle finger, but it has been recently brought to my attention that some people use their index. Im really amazed, who scrolls with index and who middle?
i have a 5 button mouse (regular 2 buttons plus scroll wheel plus 1 more button on either side of the mouse that function as back and forward buttons when i'm on the internet). I just line up one finger for each button, which explains why i use my index to click and my middle to scroll.
Who here started using a mouse back in the day before they had the scroll thingy? I bet that most people who use their middle finger never used a mouse without a scroll, or else not for very long.
so how do all you middle finger scrollers right click when needed? its just as easy to move ot over ot right clock right? so why not use the index and use it to left click too?
its hard to use my middle to scroll with my mouse at home. the Logitech MX510 mice have a controued design to cradle the hand at its best. it puts ur hand at a weird position so its hard not to use ur index for scroll
on a regular mouse i scroll with the index. but on my laptop I scroll with the middle finger on the touch pad, pinky on the arrows, and ring finger on the PageUp and PageDn keys.
the question is do you use your ring finger or your middle finger for the right click button? i use my index finger for scrolling and left click, and my middle for right click
