Ok, im flying itno zurich with my dad because hes doing biusness over there, i need to know the dopest place the closest to zurich where i can ski, HELP
The small resort Engelberg is compleetly hyped at the moment. Maybe its to much this seson... BC shuldt be world class there plus a dope park and 8 meters of the fluffy stuff a year! Have fun!!
i live in switzerland so i can recommend some pretty dope places. not many places are open yet but Saas Fee , Les Diablerets, Laax, are all open and they have dope parks.
how far are you willing to drive???
The dopest place is Laax for sure, it's also easily accessible you take a train to Chur and then there's a bus that says LAAX.
The closest are spots like Hoch-Ybrig, Flumserberg.. they are ok they have some good lines and reasonable parks. But nothing like Laax. Just go to Laax unless you need AK style freeriding then take a train to Engelberg or Andermatt.
Forget Diablerets, Zermatt, Saas-Fee they're all over 4 hours away from Zurich and right now Laax rules them anyway HAHAHA. no they're all intensely sick.
well i have some bad news for ya my friend just got back from there and he said that they are having the worst snowyear ever. all the snow was icy and the parks were all shitty. have fun though.
HAHAHAHA you're being sarcastic rigth? It's been snowing 6 days a week for over a month now. I'm in Laax and it just snowed 60 extra cm today. They're having the best year in 10 years maybe.
Fuck, I was in Portes du Soleil in the beginning of February. I don't know if I hit it right before it started snowing tonnes, but it was actually the worst snow conditions I had ever seen. You literally couldnt go off piste, because it was basically ice. There was also very little amounts of snow- alpine base just over a metre.
I am glad to hear that it is snowing good now though, as I will be coming back in there at the end of March. What would be the best bet then?
Yeah France got it bad the first half of this season!! no snow for over a month, rocks and ice everywhere... will you believe Portes du Soleil actually had the BEST conditions in France at that time?
